New school uniform policy Summer 2024.
On Tuesday 23 April, We were visited by musicians from Britten Sinfonia along with the artist James Mayhew.
The musicians performed music inspired by stories from faraway lands, whilst James painted along to the music. The children have all said how much they enjoyed the live performance.
This was an incredible opportunity for our children to see, hear and be inspired by live music, stories and art performed by experts in their field.
Well done to the whole Leighton community for achieving recognition of our strong attendance. The FFT is an organisation that works with over 10,000 schools in England. Leighton achieved in the top 25% of all schools for attendance in the autumn term.

Online video calling with random strangers It’s hardly a new internet phenomenon – but the recent demise of Omegle has prompted the creation of several similar platforms bidding to fill the vacuum. One such contender is Monkey – a service that randomly connects its users for video calls, using their mobile numbers and Snapchat account details
Monkey has surged in popularity since Omegle’s shutdown in November 2023: visits to the site more than doubled within a month and have been climbing steadily ever since. Regrettably, it also seems that Monkey suffers from many of the same pitfalls as its notorious predecessor – our #WakeUpWednesday guide highlights these possible risks to young people in more detail.
