December is always a busy month in school. Every day the children have enjoyed finding out about the escapades of Leighton's adventurous Elf.
Throughout December children in Reception and KS1 have learnt about the Nativity story using the 'Knitted Nativity' loaned to us from our local church.
Christmas dinners were a real success and the children thoroughly enjoyed being able to go into the hall for their dinner with friends and staff.
We hosted our first Cosy Christmas Reading Event for the children in Key Stage 1. This was a magical event that was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children who attended.
Students in Year 4 visited the historical site 'Flag Fen' as part of their history learning about Anglo-Saxons. The children had a fantastic day and were able to apply their learning.
On Friday 10th December we welcome Rev'd Sarah to lead our Christingle Assembly. Children in Year 3 made their own Christingle. In their RE lessons the children learnt the special meaning of each element of a Christingle.
