Year 6

In year 6, we celebrated the European day of languages by learning greetings and numbers in Greek, tasting some horiatiki (Greek salad), and designing traditional Greek outfits to dress our dolls. We learned a little of the culture and discovered Greek has also influenced languages, mathematics, astronomy and philosophy and is still used for creating new words in English and other European languages.
