Admissions
The allocation of school places at Leighton Primary & Preschool School is the responsibility of the Local Authority. This includes the allocation of Reception places each September and In Year applications across all year groups throughout the academic year.

Important information.
The date of the Primary Admissions Open Day for Leighton Primary School is Tuesday 10th November between 2–3 pm and 4-5pm. Parents can attend either session.
Transition Rounds for starting Reception, Junior and Year 7 in September 2027 are now live.
Reception 2027:
The Reception 2027 round is now open for applications and will close on 15.01.2027. Children whose date of birth is between 01.09.2022 and 31.08.2023 are eligible to apply for a Reception 2026 place.

Junior 2027:
The Junior 2027 round is now open for applications and will close on 15.01.2026. Children whose date of birth is between 01.09.2019 and 31.08.2020 are eligible to apply for a Junior 2027 place.

The Year 7 2027 round is now open for applications and will close on 31.10.2026. Children whose date of birth is between 01.09.2015 and 31.08.2016 are eligible to apply for a Year 7 2027 place.
