On our trip to the East of England showground.

In small groups the children worked together to follow the instructions to plant a seed potato.
First we filled our large pot with soil .
Next we made a hole.
We placed the seed potato in the hole .
Then we filled the plant pot to the top with soil .
We have bought the plants back to school and we shall watch them grow.
We talked about what a plant would need to grow .
The children are very excited about their own individual plant .
Later on in the morning the children heard from real farmers about how potatoes are grown and harvested now and a long time ago .
The children found out and learnt about how lettuce  is grown . All the children have planted their very own lettuce.
