In June we visited Hamerton Zoo to link with our core story The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Ker. On this trip we got to explore the Zoo and see all the different animals in their habitat and learn more information about them. It was really exciting to see the Tigers! We even enjoyed seeing Goats and seeing that they can climb trees! We had a special workshop with Ben called 'Feathers, Furs and Scales'. We got to learn about different mammals, reptiles and birds that have these special features and patterns and why. We got to meet and touch Stevie the Skunk and Bo the Snake. We also met a Parrot called Alfie but we were only allowed to look at his lovely colourful feathers! It was a really exciting day and we learnt lots of new information about the different animals that we saw.
