Art
Year 6 used their studies of World War One to inspire their Artwork and to develop sketching and shading skills using both pencils and charcoal.
We read the Line of Fire: Diary of an Unknown Soldier. This book is a collection of charcoal sketches by a World War One soldier which depict events of World War One.
The children used the sketches from the book to inspire their own charcoal sketches - it was messy, but the final creations were incredibly effective.
