This week in Reception we have been learning about the Hindu festival 'Diwali'.

We have learnt lots of facts about Diwali and taken part in many activities. This included trying some Diwali sweets, dressing up and exploring Rangoli Patterns with rice. 

'Diwali' is the Festival of light. Hindus celebrate Diwali by cleaning their homes, adding lots of lights and Diya lamps. They welcome family and friends with Rangoli Patterns at their homes .
