    On Tuesday, Reception and Year 1 children had an amazing experience with the Raptor Foundation coming to Leighton. They got to learn all about different birds of prey and even got to see them fly! 

    The Raptor Foundation team member wished to express how amazingly well behaved the children were. The children should be very proud of themselves for their fantastic listening skills and respect for the birds.

These techniques are known as ‘persuasive design’ and can have a particularly profound effect on children and young people ðŸ˜³

  • Dance Like Nobody's Watching!

    We are holding our annual Disco on Tuesday 13th February 2024

    - Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 - 3.15pm - 4pm
    - Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 - 3.15pm - 4.15pm

    Tickets will be sold on Parent Pay for £3. The £3 includes entry, a packet of sweets and a drink.

    We need to know numbers in advance to ensure we have the right supervision and amount of sweets, therefore Parent Pay will close at 3pm on Friday 9th February.

    Unfortunately, we will be unable to take any payments after this deadline date and children will be unable to attend.

    A very Happy New Year! As we step into this promising new year, I hope you and your family had a restful and joyful Christmas break. It is certainly a time of fresh starts and new beginnings, and we are excited to welcome pupils back, energised and ready to learn. Let's embrace the opportunities this year brings, supporting each other to make it a fantastic year for our entire school community.

    I am looking forward to working as Interim Headteacher for this next chapter at Leighton. We've got some exciting times ahead, and I'm here to ensure we all make the most of it.
