Pastoral & Family Support Team

At Leighton, our Pastoral and Family Support Team is dedicated to helping children and their families feel safe, confident, and supported during their time with us. We work closely with pupils who may be facing challenges that make learning difficult. These challenges can include low confidence, worries about school or home, friendship issues, or difficult situations outside of school. Whatever the challenge, we are here to listen and provide support to help children thrive.

Our team offers guidance, encouragement, and practical help to ensure every child feels emotionally, socially, and academically prepared to learn. We focus on promoting positive mental health, building resilience, developing strong relationships, and celebrating personal growth.

We understand the crucial role families play in a child's development, which is why we also offer friendly support to parents and carers. Whether you need advice, someone to talk to, help with routines at home, or support with attendance or behaviour, our door is always open. We can also connect you with outside services if needed.

We collaborate closely with all class teachers to ensure that every child has access to a rich and engaging curriculum, regardless of the challenges they might face.

If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to have a friendly chat, please get in touch. We are always happy to help.
