Leighton Primary School

11th - 15th January 2021

Hello Year 6!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I enjoyed my frosty walk on Saturday morning around where I live with my family - there was lots of ice and the streams were frozen. Make sure you all get time to exercise and get some fresh air with your family. Joe Wicks will be leading his online workouts from Monday: just search for these on YouTube and subscribe to his channel.

Each day we will upload the PowerPoint / PDF of your learning for the week. Just click at the bottom of each day's tab to download. Complete your work in your workbooks, which should have all be delivered last week.  If you would like to finish your work in PowerPoint or Word, you send these to us as well. Take a photo of your workbooks and send into school for us to look through. I must say a huge well done to all those children who emailed work in last week; we were really impressed by the standard of most work! Keep it up! Good Work Keep it Up Stamper | Thumbs Up | Green Ink

If you have any problems, please email year6@leightonprimary.net

I will upload examples for work completed to the website to share with you all. You can share examples of other things you complete at home like: Art, things you make, baking or cooking.

Remember, you do not have to follow the normal school timings - complete work at anytime during the day and around what works best for you and your family.

We are working hard to ensure you all have your own email, so that you can email the teachers and join in with Google Meet lessons or speak to your teachers.

This week lessons will have videos for you watch and we may even run some live lessons for you to join in with. There will be a code of conduct that you and your parents will have to agree to ensure we are all safe when working online. This will be sent out next week.

If possible, we plan to have a weekly meeting / assembly with each class on Fridays (inlcuding the children in school); I will send out more details shortly.

Take care everyone; hopefully see you all online very soon!
