Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check

The multiplication times tables check is an online test for pupils that is taken in the final term of Year 4. Pupils are asked to answer 25 questions based on the 2 to 12 times tables. They will have 6 seconds to answer each question and there will be a 3 second rest between each question. The test should last less than 5 minutes.

The most common questions mostly feature the six, seven, eight, nine and 12 times tables as these are the hardest for most children to learn. It is worthwhile focusing on these trickiest times tables with your child.

The main reason for the check is to find out which children are struggling with their times tables so that they can get extra support. It is a way of informing us about how teaching is going and we will adjust our focus as needed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to your child's class teacher or email them via year4@leightonprimary.net or Class Dojo.
