HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES & HAF

Following the success of the Government 'holiday activities and food programme' (HAF) during the summer break, we have organised additional holiday activity clubs for the October and February half-terms.

These clubs will be facilitated by sport coaches from Premier Education and follow the same aims as the HAF programme.

We want children who attend this provision to:

  • eat more healthily over the school holidaysPremier Education
  • be more active during the school holidays
  • take part in engaging and enriching activities which support the development of resilience, character and well-being along with their wider educational attainment
  • be safe and not to be socially isolated
  • have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition
  • be more engaged with school and other local services

During the February half-term we held our second holiday club, which was a great success.

We had over 40 children attending the holiday club, which proved to be action packed for all children who attended.

Over the course of the week, children took part in daily team building games along with a wide range of physical activities such as dodgeball, gymnastics, basketball, dance and football. The children also got to try other activities like archery and table tennis.

Each day a healthy prepared lunch was made for the children.

Friday, the last day of holiday club, was an extra special day. The children got to decide the activities for the morning and the afternoon was party time with musical chairs, bumps, dance competition and snacks.
