Pastoral Team
Our Pastoral team works closely with a range of children and families across the school.
Their role is specifically to work alongside children who may have a range of barriers to learning - this may include low self-esteem, low confidence or due to having challenging external factors facing them in their life at that time.
The team is primarily focused on providing support, guidance and intervention to ensure that students are emotionally, socially and academically supported throughout their time at Leighton.
They focus on promoting positive mental health and well-being, developing resilience, fostering confident relationships and empowering personal growth.
As a school, we recognise the crucial role our families play in their child’s success, which is why we actively engage with parents and offer guidance and support to enable the best possible outcome for the children.
They work alongside Mrs Aubert, Mrs Bilby and the class teachers, to ensure that all children across the school are given the opportunity to access a full and rich curriculum regardless of any barriers which may be presented to them.
Our team is always happy to discuss any concerns or worries you may have.
